Community Engagement

For our second Difference Day of 2024, daa staff visited Rivervalley Community Centre in Swords to build an outdoor sensory garden and multi functional space for the centre's groups to use. As part of our Community Outreach, daa were delighted to visit this local community hub to give back and lend a helping hand to turn an otherwise unused space into a valuable asset, in one of our neighbouring communities.
Over 60 staff from daa, including teams from daa's group finance, retail, HR and communications departments, attended the centre and worked alongside Difference Days Ltd to complete this special project. The staff got to grips with their green fingers to create raised planter benches, and battled power tools to build the picnic benches and walls, and let their imaginations run wild to create three beautiful art installations.
Michael McDonagh, Rivervalley's Community Centre manager, said, 'We were delighted to welcome Dublin Airport and Difference Day to the centre. This area is getting such positive feedback and the little ones love it. It’s been amazing so thank you so much.'
