Passenger throughput at Dublin Airport was almost 1.2 million for the month of January, a 2% increase over the same period last year, according to the Dublin Airport Authority.
Passenger volumes to and from continental Europe grew by 3% with just over 557,000 passengers travelling to European destinations.
UK traffic recorded a decline of 3% with 460,000 passengers travelling this route sector in January. Passenger volumes to and from North America grew by 12% with almost 90,000 passengers travelling stateside in January. Other international traffic, principally to the Middle East increased by 50% with more than 47,000 passengers travelling these routes in January.
More than 3,900 passengers travelled on domestic routes last month, a 9% increase on January 2012.
