Dublin Airport is holding an emergency exercise between 11am and 13.00 today, Wednesday November 14.
The purpose of the exercise is to test the response of a number of agencies including the airport's emergency services’ response to an aircraft incident.
The exercise is taking place in partnership with Aer Lingus and is being conducted with the full co-operation of Dublin Fire Brigade, An Garda Síochána and the HSE.
Dublin Airport conducts regular major aircraft emergency exercises as required under ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) and IAA(Irish Aviation Authority) airport licensing regulations.
Dublin Airport will operate normally during the exercise.
